What is Voice?

VOICE is a campus-wide initiative founded on the premise that everyone has the right to live and learn at Georgia Tech, free of violence or the threat of violence. This initiative seeks to empower students, faculty, and staff to confront the significant but largely hidden problem of sexual violence on campus.

The Department of Wellness and Health Promotion launched VOICE after receiving a federal grant from the Department of Justice to address violence against women and is working in collaboration with many other offices and organizations on the Georgia Tech campus and in the surrounding community. While many have already signed on in support of VOICE, we are finding that most people still have pretty basic questions about the need and purpose for an initiative to end sexual violence in the Georgia Tech community. Continue exploring the VOICE web site to find information about VOICE, how you can get involved, and resources for victims of sexual violence.
