Georgia Tech Resources

Georgia Tech Counseling Center 404-894-2575

GT Counseling Center offers free counseling services for Georgia tech students who have been victims of sexual assault (as well as other counseling services). Some of the counselors are also members of the Sexual Assault Task Force.

Department of Health Promotion 404-894-9980

The Wellness Center provides educational information, presentations, programs, and resource referral for sexual assault and related issues. Students can also meet with health educators individually to discuss sexual health issues. The Wellness Center is home to the VOICE initiative for violence prevention and advocacy on Georgia Tech campus.

Health Services 404-894-1420

Health Services provides medical treatment, not including evidence collection, during regular business hours. Follow-up STI screening and emergency contraception (EC) available (EC is also available at the Women’s Clinic).

Women’s Clinic 404-894-1434

The Women's Clinic has two female nurse practitioners who provide services to women for their sexual and reproductive health needs. Emergency contraception (EC) is a form of pregnancy prevention that the Women’s Clinic and Student Health Center can provide to female students. IMPORTANT: It is most effective when taken within 72 hours of sexual intercourse. For more information on EC, go to: http://ec.princeton.edu/

Sexual Violence Task Force 404-385-1563

Campus group composed of staff, faculty, and students working to develop sexual assault response and prevention programs for the Georgia Tech Community.

Campus Police 404-894-2500

Officers from GTPD can support in the investigation and prosecution of cases, support for care and well-being of victim, and they will transport victims to Grady for treatment and will make referrals. Several members of the Georgia Tech Police Department are involved in the Sexual Violence Task Force.

Dean of Students 404-894-6367

The Dean of Students can serve as an advocate for students in reporting incidents of sexual assault. They can provide resources and referrals for victims. They also enforce judicial actions to respond to sexual assault. The Dean of Students office is involved in the Sexual Violence Task Force.

Women’s Resource Center (WRC) 404-385-0230

The WRC Provides information, educational programs, referrals, and support for Georgia Tech students, faculty, and administration regarding sexual assault, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct.
